The Marseille team emerged victorious against the Reims team, winning the game by a score of 2-1 in stoppage time. The match was played at the Stade Vélodrome stadium and took place on Saturday evening. In the first half, both teams were evenly matched, with neither side managing to create many clear-cut opportunities. However, it was Marseille who took the lead in the 45th minute when Payet scored from the penalty spot after being fouled by a Reims player. The second half started much like the first, with both sides trying their best to equalize the score. But it wasn't until the 76th minute that Reims finally managed to equalize through a goal scored by their forward player. However, it was Marseille who managed to take the lead again just minutes later. Payet scored his second goal of the match from the penalty spot, this time after receiving a pass from his teammate. Despite the fact that Reims tried hard to come back into the game, they were unable to find the back of the net and the final whistle was blown in favor of Marseille. Overall, it was a closely contested match between two strong teams, but Marseille emerged victorious thanks to Payet's free-kick in stoppage time. It was a great performance from the Marseille team and we can only hope for more victories in the future. |
